Ban Baru IRC Jadi Official Tire Kelas Junior Pro di Yamaha Sunday Race 2023 Mandalika

PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk, the manufacturer of IRC, GT Radial, Giti, and Zeneos tires, actively participated in the Yamaha Sunday Race 2023, held on August 19-20, 2023, at the Mandalika Circuit in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). During this prestigious event, the IRC Speed Winner MBR-110 became the official tire for the Junior Pro class.

“We have consistently supported the Yamaha Sunday Race since the beginning, and this time, IRC Tire is the official tire for the Junior Pro class at Yamaha Sunday Race 2023 Mandalika,” said Dodi Yanto, Senior Brand Executive & Product Development of PT Gajah Tunggal at the Mandalika Circuit.

The IRC Speed Winner MBR-110 is designed for daily use, but with race-grade compound, offering excellent grip on both dry and wet tracks. The tire sizes used are 110/70-17 for the front and 140/70-17 for the rear.

Arai Agaska, a rising star racer from NTB, was impressed with the performance of the IRC Speed Winner MBR-110. According to Arai, the tire’s grip was excellent.

“The feeling I get with these new IRC tires is stability when entering and exiting corners, as well as during acceleration in various cornering types at Mandalika,” shared Arai, who raced in the Junior Pro class.

Interestingly, the IRC Speed Winner MBR-110, in different sizes, is also widely used by racing teams in the Aerox 155 class. The tire size used for this class is 140/70-14.

“This 140/70-14 size of the MBR-110 is being used for the first time at the Mandalika Circuit. Almost half of the riders in the Aerox 155 class are using this tire,” added Dodi.

The Yamaha Sunday Race 2023 Mandalika featured several classes, including Superstock 1000cc, Superstock 600cc, and Sport 250cc with categories such as R25 Pro, R25 Comm Pro, and others. The event also introduced new classes such as MX King 150 Open and Aerox 155 Community.
