The Shell Eco-Marathon Asia and Middle East, held at Mandalika Circuit from July 4–9, 2023, was attended by 76 teams. Universitas Indonesia participated in two categories: Nakoela Team (Prototype Internal Combustion Engine) and Arjuna Team (Urban Electric Vehicle).
Both teams from UI secured 2nd place in their respective categories, achieving 1,190 km/L for Nakoela and 172 km/kWh for Arjuna.
The Arjuna Team will go on to represent Indonesia at the Driver’s World Championship, which will be held in India later this year.
