Ahead of the Shell Eco-Marathon, Universitas Indonesia’s Nakoela & Arjuna Teams Partner with IRC for “Care for Earth, Reduce Plastic” Campaign
Ahead of their departure to compete in the Shell Eco-Marathon at Mandalika Circuit, Lombok from July 4–9, 2023, Universitas Indonesia’s Nakoela and Arjuna teams, together with the IRC team, carried out the “Care for Earth, Reduce Plastic” campaign to support plastic waste reduction in Indonesia.
The Shell Eco-Marathon is a prestigious competition attended by universities from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Thailand, and more. IRC tires have supported the Nakoela and Arjuna teams for the past six years, during which the teams won 1st place in the Urban Electric and Gasoline Prototype categories last year at Mandalika Circuit, Lombok.
“The Nakoela and Arjuna teams are very happy and grateful for the research support provided by the IRC team, and we also fully support the plastic waste reduction campaign,” said Ariza, a representative of the teams.
“This activity aligns with IRC and Zeneos tires’ commitment to environmental preservation, as all our tires are now packaged without plastic,” added Dodiyanto, representative of PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk, the manufacturer of IRC and Zeneos tires.
